Associate Manager Finance _ General Ledger

Position Summary:

 

We are seeking a detail-oriented

Associate Manager Finance

to oversee our general ledger function, ensure accounting accuracy, support month-end and year-end close activities and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures. The ideal candidate shall possess strong knowledge of accounting, excellent organizational skills and experience working with ERP systems

 

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries and General Ledger reconciliations

• Prepaid Amortizations related to COGS

• Coordinate and follow through with the month-end closing schedule

• Provide financial reports to management and answers inquiries as necessary

• Complete special projects as assigned

• Interact with internal and external auditors as necessary to complete audits

• Maintain knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, SEC requirements, and other relevant accounting regulations

• Lead, mentor and develop finance team members to maximize performance, achieve Organization Goals

• Set Performance Goals for team and conduct performance evaluations.

• Lead ERP upgrades and automation initiatives
  Experience:

• 8-10 years of experience required in accounting role with experience in GL/Revenue/COGS

• At least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.

• Exposure to internal controls and SOX environment in MNC

• Experience with Workday

• Sound knowledge of MS-Office
  Knowledge & Skills:

• Strong Analytical skills

• Good Communication skills

• Should be familiar with Deferred Revenue concepts

• Understanding of Order to cash Cycle

• Knowledge of Revenue recognition standards (preferably US GAAP)

• Knowledge of third party/COGS transactions

• Experience accounting for customer credits

• Reconciliations –revenue by customer/contract/product/service, deferred revenue recs

• Requirements: Academic and Professional Qualifications:

• Bachelors/Master’s degree in Commerce
• CA Inter
