Associate Financial Analyst

You will play a key role in advancing the annotation and analysis of data for AI model training and in evaluating AI-based model outputs. You'll join a dynamic team of software experts, AI researchers, and product managers building next-generation Generative AI features for market intelligence, and you'll collaborate with financial analysts from diverse backgrounds to provide insights that drive GenAI strategy and product development. Your focus will be on analyzing high-quality research reports rather than traditional accounting or routine financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and interpret financial documents including earnings calls, SEC and global filings, broker research reports, expert call transcripts, news, and regulatory content
• Evaluate and rank language model outputs based on comprehensiveness, factual accuracy, coverage, and fluency
• Analyse customer usage patterns of the AlphaSense platform and data sources to identify opportunities for product enhancements and new AI model applications
• Ensure the quality and consistency of data collection for AI model evaluation and training
• Collaborate with Product Managers and AI Researchers to define data annotation guidelines and processes for Generative AI projects
• Apply hands-on knowledge of a wide range of financial reports and documents
• Review, comprehend, and synthesise information from diverse sources to extract key details and formulate actionable insights
• Maintain understanding of industry trends related to data annotation, AI ethics, and emerging technologies

Requirements

• Chartered Accountant (CA) certification or completion of all three levels of the CFA program
• Exceptional understanding of financial concepts and data
• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in financial analysis
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional environment and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills
• Strong project management skills including problem-solving, time management, prioritisation, adaptability, and research proficiency
• Proficiency in workplace productivity tools such as GSuite and MS Office
