About the Role

The Associate will be responsible for supporting the effective implementation, monitoring, coordination, and documentation of project activities across Jalpaiguri, West Bengal. The role requires close collaboration with implementation partners, government departments, and local stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery, compliance, capacity building, and quality monitoring. The ideal candidate should possess strong coordination, stakeholder management, documentation, and analytical skills, along with the ability to work in field-based environments. Position- Associate Location- Jalpaiguri, West Bengal (Field-based with regular travel) Stakeholder & Partner Management: Manage relationships with implementation partners in Alipurduar and Jalpaiguri, ensuring effective collaboration and smooth execution of field activities. Build a strong and sustainable partnership ecosystem to enhance long-term impact. Capacity Building & Training: Identify training needs for implementation partners, PRI members, and relevant government departments based on project goals. Organize and facilitate capacity-building sessions for stakeholders to improve service delivery and implementation efficiency Project Implementation & Coordination: Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day implementation of field activities. Ensure project milestones are met within the agreed timeline and budget. Address and resolve challenges that arise during project execution, escalating issues when necessary. Conduct regular field visits to implementation sites to ensure quality execution and stakeholder engagement. Monitoring & Compliance: Maintain accurate records of project activities, decisions, and outcomes. Ensure all project documentation is complete, up-to-date, and stored appropriately. Ensure compliance with Swaniti Initiative’s standards and government regulations. Financial & Contractual Coordination: Coordinate contract agreements with implementation partners, ensuring compliance with organizational guidelines. Oversee invoicing processes, ensuring timely submission and disbursement of payments as per contract terms. Maintain accurate financial records related to partner contracts and project expenditures.

Requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Sciences, Public Policy, Rural Development, Development Studies, Statistics, Economics, or a related field. 2–3 years of

experience

in project management, program implementation, or development sector initiatives.

Experience

working with government departments, implementation partners, or community-based organizations is preferred. Required

Skills

Strong stakeholder and partner management skills. Knowledge of Monitoring & Evaluation frameworks, indicators, and reporting.

Experience

in data collection, validation, analysis, and documentation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong report writing and presentation skills. Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage competing priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Willingness to travel extensively across project locations.
