Assistant Manager-Primary Design

Roles &

Responsibilities:

Review technical specifications, contract documents, and purchase order specifications for AIS & GIS Substation projects. Prepare and review basic and detailed engineering drawings, including Single Line Diagrams (SLD), Earthing Layouts, Lighting Layouts, Cable & Cable Tray Layouts, Bus Systems, and Section Drawings. Prepare and review detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) for complete substation projects. Review construction BOM, detailed engineering drawings, site survey checklists, civil input drawings, erection key BOMs, and related design documents. Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, and site teams for design inputs, technical clarifications, and drawing approvals. Prepare technical specifications for bought-out items such as Lightning Arresters, Instrument Transformers, Density Monitors, Cables, and other electrical equipment. Review vendor drawings, evaluate technical offers, and support vendor finalisation. Ensure designs comply with relevant IEC/IEEE standards and project specifications. Perform CT sizing, Lightning Arrester sizing and selection, Earthing Design, and review Type Test Reports as per IEC standards. Expertise in Switchgear and other substation equipment.

Experience

in Earthing Design, CT Selection, LA Selection, and Vendor Drawing Review. Ability to coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, vendors, and site execution teams. Hands-on

experience

in HV Substation Engineering.
