ERP Transformation – Assistant Manager

The successful candidate will bring experience in ERP-enabled tax transformation, helping clients design, configure and optimise tax processes within Oracle, Workday or similar enterprise platforms.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver the tax configuration workstream within ERP implementation and finance transformation programmes.
- Gather and document tax requirements and translate them into scalable ERP solutions.
- Design, configure and support automated tax determination and reporting capabilities.
- Advise clients on tax process design, compliance requirements and system optimisation across multiple jurisdictions for Oracle Cloud ERP or Workday Financials platforms.
- Collaborate with finance, tax, IT and business stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions.
- Support testing, deployment and post-implementation activities to ensure successful outcomes.
- Develop and enhance our tax transformation methodologies, accelerators and service offerings.
- Coach and mentor junior team members, sharing technical and project delivery expertise.
- Contribute to business development, thought leadership and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to KPMG quality standards, methodologies and risk management requirements.

Key Skills & Experience
Essential
- Experience delivering ERP implementation or transformation projects, with a focus on indirect tax rules and requirements.
- Hands-on tax configuration experience within Oracle Cloud ERP or Workday Financials platforms globally, with localisation experience.
- Experience gathering tax requirements and producing design documentation, solution blueprints and configuration workbooks.
- Strong understanding of indirect tax processes, controls, compliance and reporting requirements.
- Knowledge of end-to-end finance processes, including Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Record-to-Report (R2R).
- Experience supporting tax determination, tax reporting and tax automation initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex tax requirements into practical technology solutions.
- Experience managing project deliverables, timelines and client expectations within transformation programmes.
Desirable
- Experience configuring withholding tax requirements within Oracle Cloud ERP or Workday Financials platforms.
- Exposure to global indirect tax compliance frameworks, including EMEA jurisdictions.
- Data analysis and transformation experience, including SQL and large-volume data handling.
- Experience supporting ERP testing activities, including SIT, UAT and deployment readiness.
- Understanding of governance, risk and control frameworks within finance and tax functions.
- Exposure to implementation of e-invoicing, continuous transaction controls (CTCs) and digital reporting mandates.
- Professional qualifications in Accounting, Tax, Finance or Technology disciplines.
