Job Description

Job Overview: The holder of this position will be responsible for managing end to end compliance for the Dangerous Goods department & deliver training as per compliances of the regulating authorities.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Support CI DGR to ensure all procedures and policies are following ICAO, IATA, DGCA and other international agencies. Prepare and update the DGR Manual, DGR Training Manual, Handouts and Circulars in coordination with CI DGR. Develop DGR training aids (Power point presentations, videos, exhibits, posters and displays) and ensure the training modules are updated regularly. Monitor the overall effective training administration and ensure data is updated regularly. Ensure timely submission of training reports and other documents to the CI DGR to be handed over to the Regulator. Support the CI DGR to conduct periodic audits across network in operational areas. Submit reports to the respective heads and ensure closure of audit findings. Support CI DGR to conduct periodic audits across the network ensuring regulatory compliance for Dangerous Goods as per CAR and IATA DGR. Ensure an auditing and recording system is maintained for all regulatory requirements. and all operations conform to DGCA requirements. Assess, monitor, coach and provide trainees with feedback. Qualification & Work

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years’

experience

in transportation of dangerous goods by air. Well-rounded civil aviation

experience

in ground handling operations including passenger and baggage handling, cargo operations, and ramp operations is desirable.At least a graduate degree preferably with Physics and Chemistry at 10+2 level. Successful completion of the Dangerous Goods training in Category 6 and same should be valid for at least 6 months from the date of interview. DGCA approved Dangerous Goods Instructor or possession of a Dangerous Goods Instructor course certification will be an added advantage. Position Reports to: Chief Instructor DG Training. Location: Akasa Air Learning Academy – Gurugram. Travel Needed: Occasionally.
