Assistant Consultant-Waste Advisory

WSP is looking for an Assistant Waste Consultant / Engineer with 2-5 years experience to join our growing Environmental and Sustainability team. This role would work closely with our Middle East Advisory Services team. The successful applicant will operate within a team of environmental and sustainability professionals in Bangalore/Noida/Mumbai delivering the highest standards of technical work and aiding the continued success of the team by being an integral part of our client focused delivery of projects. You will be joining a well-respected, large and dynamic team with a wide range of clients across different markets and sectors including national and local government, industrial, commercial and scientific sectors.

• Preparing waste management strategies for buildings and master plan infrastructure projects.

• Technical Due diligence of waste management assets including waste treatment and handling infrastructure.

• Development of event waste management plans and strategies.

• Assisting in the daily project handling works for waste management in the Middle East.

• Attending coordination meetings and workshops.

• Preparation of technical specifications for various waste management components including but not limited to, waste collection systems, waste handling and treatment systems, etc.

• Support in other team functions such as Sustainability, Environment Planning and Management and advisory roles.

• Monitor and maintain documentation to demonstrate compliance with relevant waste management codes and regulations.

• Bachelor of Engineering in relevant discipline (Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field).

• 2-5 years of professional experience in specific to waste management 

• Master’s degree and Environment & Sustainability experience is a plus

• Principle knowledge of various waste treatment technologies

• Has basic AutoCAD drafting skills

• Ability to work across multiple disciplines and a flexible mindset to working.

• Excellent written English and verbal communication, presentation and organisational skills.

• Experience of working on multiple projects, simultaneously.

• Collaborative mindset and outcome driven working method.
