Assembly Technician

Position Summary

The Assembly Technician will be responsible for electrical wiring, assembly, soldering, crimping, and testing of electronic equipment in accordance with Electrical Wiring Diagrams (EWD). The role requires hands-on experience with single-phase and three-phase high-voltage equipment, PCB and HMI wiring, electrical and pneumatic crimping tools, soldering, electrical connectors, and cable identification. The technician will also perform wiring verification using a multimeter and ensure adherence to required quality standards. The position requires flexibility to work in different shifts, including night shifts.

What You'll Do

• Study and interpret Electrical Wiring Diagrams (EWD) and perform equipment wiring accordingly.
• Assemble electronic equipment operating on single-phase and three-phase electrical supplies, including Star and Delta connections.
• Perform electrical and pneumatic crimping using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Carry out wiring on equipment incorporating PCB boards and touchscreen HMI display boards.
• Operate automatic and manual soldering stations, including POT soldering equipment.
• Perform PCB soldering of PTH components and visually inspect solder joints for quality.
• Handle manual crimping tools and perform crimping of various electrical terminals, including insulated, half-insulated, high-voltage AC, and micro-DC terminals.
• Handle pre-wired harnesses and inspect end-connector crimping quality.
• Identify and select appropriate cable sizes based on Electrical Wiring Diagrams.
• Perform wiring and installation of high-voltage electrical connectors.
• Use a multimeter effectively to measure required electrical parameters and verify wiring against the EWD.
• Follow established safety, quality, and assembly procedures.
• Work effectively across different shifts, including night shifts.

Basic Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering

or

ITI in Electrical.

• Minimum

3 years of relevant experience

in electrical/electronics equipment wiring and assembly.

• Experience working with single-phase AC and three-phase high-voltage/current equipment.

Preferred Technical Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with electrical and electronics equipment wiring and assembly.
• Experience handling pre-wired harnesses and identifying end-connector crimping quality.
• Knowledge of different cable sizes and their application based on Electrical Wiring Diagrams.
• Experience with high-voltage electrical connectors and wiring.
• Experience with PCB wiring, PTH component soldering, and touchscreen HMI wiring.
• Proficiency in using electrical and pneumatic crimping tools.
• Good understanding of solder-joint quality and visual inspection.
• Ability to use a multimeter to verify electrical parameters and wiring.
• Willingness to work in different shifts, including night shifts.
