The company has raised over $100M (over Rs 225 Cr) to aggressively expand its manufacturing and retail footprint. ## Job Summary The Apparel Designer at Agilitas plays a crucial role in designing innovative, functional, and commercially viable apparel collections that align with the brand's vision, consumer needs, and market trends. This position involves blending creativity with technical expertise and requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams. ## Responsibilities - **Design & Concept Development**: Research global fashion, sportswear, and athleisure trends. Develop seasonal design concepts, mood boards, color stories, and inspiration themes. Create original apparel designs aligned with the brand identity and generate technical illustrations. - **Product Development**: Develop apparel collections from concept to commercialization across categories such as running, training, lifestyle, athleisure, outdoor, and performance wear. Create product specifications and tech packs for development. - **Fabric & Material Innovation**: Collaborate with sourcing and R&D teams to identify new fabrics and trims that enhance performance attributes such as moisture management, breathability, stretch and recovery, durability, and sustainability. - **Trend & Consumer Research**: Conduct market research on competitors, consumer preferences, and emerging trends, and benchmark against global brands like Nike, Adidas, and Lululemon to translate insights into successful designs. - **Technical Design**: Prepare detailed technical sketches using Adobe Illustrator and develop comprehensive tech packs ensuring manufacturability of designs. - **Sample Development**: Coordinate with product development and vendors during sample creation, reviewing prototypes to recommend improvements in fit, construction, aesthetics, and functionality. - **Fit & Wear Testing**: Attend fit sessions to assess garment fit, comfort, mobility, and performance; recommend changes to achieve the desired fit and functionality. - **Cross-functional Collaboration**: Work closely with product management, merchandising, sourcing, product development, quality assurance, marketing, supply chain, and manufacturing to ensure designs meet commercial, quality, and production requirements. ## Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Apparel/Textile Design, or a related field. - Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop). - Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and pattern making. - Experience with fabric sourcing and material selection for performance apparel. - Excellent research, analytical, and trend forecasting skills. - Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork. - Ability to design within cost parameters while balancing innovation and manufacturability. - Knowledge of sustainability practices in design and production. ## Preferred Skills - Familiarity with apparel manufacturing processes and industry standards. - Experience in athleisure design or sportswear development. - Knowledge of eco-friendly materials and innovations in apparel design. ## Experience - Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in apparel design, preferably within sportswear or athleisure sectors. ## Environment The primary work location is in an office setting at WeWork Roshni Tech Hub, Marathahalli Main Road, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560037.
