Analyst, Enterprise Insights

Job Summary

As an Analyst (Enterprise Insights), you will support merchandising, marketing, retail operations and business decisions by leveraging sales and competitive data across Giant Eagle, while identifying the impact of various initiatives and recommending courses of action. This role will require using your analytical mind and data literacy to clarify the problem, analyze the data, and communicate the story to business stakeholders. You will work closely with other analysts, leaders and partners to prioritize and execute the most relevant business questions/solutions.

Job Description

• Experience Required: 2 to 5 years. Demonstrated ability in transforming, analyzing, and summarizing datasets. Experience in at least two of the following: SQL, Python (Data analysis / Spark), Databricks, Power BI, Excel.
• Experience Desired: Retail background, Pricing and Promotions analytics experience, End-to-end data analysis tech stack.
• Education Desired: Bachelor’s Degree.

Job Responsibilities

• Support marketing and merchandising initiatives by analyzing customer behavior and sales impact from changes in loyalty programs, merchandising initiatives on pricing and promotions, gift cards promotional programs and item-based promotions.
• Gather and analyze data using appropriate technical and analytic techniques. Interface with database tables, pull data from different sources and link them logically.
• Application of profiling, modeling, and reporting of data to answer business questions and recommend solutions. Synthesize primary and secondary information sources, prepare and present comprehensive reports of findings, illustrating data graphically.
• Act as a point of contact for data insights questions/expertise in the organization.
• Work with a line of business leaders in designing reports and analysis. Participate in cross-functional teams to support new initiatives throughout the organization.

The hiring range for this position is $1052900.00– $1278500.00 per hour/year. This range represents the anticipated base pay for this role. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and location. Eligible employees may be offered health, vision, and dental insurance, personal/sick paid time, 401(k) retirement savings plan, bonus potential, paid bereavement, vacation and paid holidays.
