Job Description
Assist in the development and implementation of pricing models and strategies Assist in the reserving process, ensuring compliance with regulatory
requirements
and internal policies. Work on the pricing for government business, including tenders. Analyse historical data, market trends, competitor results and actuarial methodologies, and customer behavior for actuarial decisions. Contribute to the development and refinement of actuarial models and methodologies. Collaborate with claims, finance and underwriting teams to provide insights from actuarial analysis. Support the actuarial team in regulatory filings, compliance and responding to audit/regulatory queries. Prepare detailed reports, presentations and visualisation tools to communicate actuarial analysis, results and recommendations to senior management. Work closely with data scientists to utilise spatiotemporal data and build granular and dynamic pricing algorithms. Work on implementation of new regulatory regimes like Ind AS 117 and Risk Based Capital (RBC). Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in actuarial profession. Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives as required.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, commerce or a related field. Progress towards actuarial
qualifications
with a recognized actuarial body (e.g., IAI) is highly desirable. 1+ years of prior
experience
in an actuarial function within the insurance industry is advantageous. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, VBA, SQL and Python along with use of emerging technologies like GPTs and Power Platforms is desirable. Deep understanding of actuarial principles, regulatory environment, and product development processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to handle complex data. Good communication skills, with the ability to present findings in a clear and concise manner. A team player with a proactive approach to tasks and projects.
