Position Overview

Genetec is seeking a highly motivated

Account Executive – Public Sector

to drive business growth across

Italy

, with a specific focus on the public sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with key public-sector customers, partners, and system integrators while promoting Genetec’s unified security platform and portfolio of solutions.

This role requires a strategic sales professional who can identify opportunities, build long-term customer relationships, and deliver value-driven security and intelligence solutions across

government, public institutions, and other public-sector organizations

.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage a sales pipeline

across Italy, with a focus on the

public sector

, to achieve and exceed revenue targets.

Identify new business opportunities

and build relationships with public-sector end users, consultants, and system integrators.

Promote Genetec solutions

, including video management, access control, ALPR, and unified security platforms.

Lead the full sales cycle

, from prospecting and qualification to proposal, tender/RFP processes, negotiation, and closing.

Work closely with channel partners

to expand market presence and drive joint opportunities within the public sector.

Collaborate internally

with pre-sales engineers, marketing, and partner teams to develop winning sales strategies.

Deliver presentations, product demonstrations, and value propositions

to C-level executives and technical stakeholders.

Maintain accurate forecasts and pipeline management

in CRM tools.

Represent Genetec at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings

across Italy.

Monitor market trends and competitive landscape

to identify growth opportunities within the public sector.

Required Experience

• Proven success in

enterprise or complex B2B solution sales

, ideally within the public sector.

• Experience selling physical security solutions.
• Strong track record of direct end-user engagement and consultative selling.
• Experience working within a channel-driven or partner-based sales model.
• Ability to navigate multi-stakeholder sales environments and long buying cycles.
• Fluency in Italian and English.

Preferred Background

Experience with video management systems (VMS), access control, or unified security platforms.

Understanding of IP networking, cybersecurity principles, or enterprise IT environments..
