Finish and Paint Documentation Specialist

Role Overview Vestas is a global leader in wind energy solutions, specialising in the design, manufacturing, and servicing of wind turbines. This role sits within the Blades Process Engineering organisation under Manufacturing, where you will be a core contributor to developing high-quality shop floor documentation for Finish and Paint operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure documentation is accurate, accessible, and continuously improved to support safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals. Key Responsibilities - Create and update shop floor documentation for workers, quality teams, and process engineers within Finish and Paint operations - Ensure documentation is always current and readily available at the shop floor level - Build systems and structures to maintain documentation standards including control points, tolerances, and corrective action guidelines - Conduct internal quality and maturity checks on all documentation deliverables - Gather and incorporate feedback from shop floor teams and stakeholders to improve documentation effectiveness - Develop training materials to help teams understand and use documentation packages - Investigate production issues using structured problem-solving methods such as 5 Whys and Fishbone Diagrams - Apply Lean and Kaizen principles to reduce waste and improve manufacturing efficiency - Collaborate with documentation specialists across other teams to share best practices and lessons learned - Create process roadmaps for documentation improvements and support digital enabling systems Required Qualifications - Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline - Green Belt Six Sigma certification or equivalent - Courses or certification in technical writing or communication - Around 10 years of experience in a similar documentation or process engineering role - Proven experience creating process flows and maintaining work instructions in paper or digital formats - Familiarity with control plans, validation processes, and data-driven manufacturing environments - Strong ability to simplify complex technical information for shop floor audiences - Experience with tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, and FMEA - Willingness to spend time on the factory floor to understand and resolve issues - Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple stakeholder relationships across cultures Why Join Us Vestas offers a dynamic and inclusive international work environment where innovation and accountability are at the heart of everything we do. - Bachelor degree in Engineering or related field - Green Belt Six Sigma or equivalent certification - Technical writing or communication training - Approximately 10 years of relevant experience - Experience creating and maintaining work instructions and process flows - Knowledge of control plans and validation processes - Proficiency in Lean, Kaizen, 5 Whys, Fishbone, and FMEA tools - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Ability to translate technical information into user-friendly language - Experience working in a data-driven manufacturing organisation
