Job Description
Arlington County’s Department of Environmental Services seeks a Design Engineer (I, II, or III) to support capital improvement projects. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing design plans, coordinating project implementation, overseeing consultants, coordinating with stakeholders, analyzing engineering problems, conducting field inspections, and performing feasibility studies. Specific requirements vary by level (I, II, III), but a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required for all levels. Experience with public works projects, CAD software, and relevant certifications is preferred.
